Singing together with friends just got easier. Whether your in the same room, or thousands of miles apart.
As a nod to the popular interjection used to describe something simple and effortlessly achieved (bada bing, bada boom!), Bada Sing was created to help make singing with others simple, easy and fun.
Bada Sing allows you to create virtual singing sessions with your remote friends or can be used when you are all together in the same place.
A Room in BadaSing is the virtual place where you gather to sing.
You create a new room when you want to host a singing session. You invite others to join your room to participate in singing together. And when you are done and close the room, it will contain all of the history of what was sung, when and by whom in that room.
An abbreviation for Karaoke TV. This is the main video player that plays the audio and displays the synced lyrics for each song being sung. In a virtual room, it is the main screen being shared during singing rounds. For an in-real-life event, it is what you display on a large central monitor for everyone in the room to see to sing their songs and sing along with others.
Synonymous with KTV. (See Above) Both terms are used for the same thing.
Participants are individual people in a room that are there to sing and engage with other room participants.
The host is a special participant who has access to additional room features and permissions. The host is typically the one who created the room, but it can also be any participant the host decides to elevate to host level. The host is the one who starts each round, can change the singing order, can start, stop, and pause a sing for any singer, and has access to several other features during a Room singing session that normal participants do not have. It’s like the one who is throwing the party.
A Round is when the singing happens. The Host can start and stop a round whenever they choose. Typically, a round is started whenever each current participant in a room has made a single song choice. The host will start the round, and each participant sings their single song choice in order (by default the order in which each participant selected their song, but the Host can put the singers in any order at any time). When each participant has sung their song for the round, the round closes, and everyone starts again, searching and choosing a song for the next round. The starting and stopping of rounds allows some breathing room for discussion and banter between singing, and allows for different themes to be introduced on a per round basis. It also helps to allow participants to sit back and relax and enjoy the show during the round, rather than constantly thinking about their next song or continuous searching.
